THE FLIP CHAIR AND TABLE

The top and front panel of the Flip table, designed for adult students, form an integral and strong structure. The seat of the chair narrows into a flexible backrest. Both the chairs and tables can be stacked and joined in rows.
The Flip chair and table are made of bent birch veneer, oak and ash veneer or laminate-coated material as alternatives. The frames are of chrome plated or epoxy-coated steel. The table top and front panel form an integral part that reinforces the structure. The seat of the chair turns into a thinner and flexible backrest. Both chairs and tables can be stacked and joined in rows.
The Flip furniture belongs to the Korhonen furniture factory’s new range of products. The company is now in its fourth generation and is known as the manufacturer of Aalto furniture. “Aesthetics and manufacturing requirements must be in balance,” says designer Heikki Ruoho. “At its best, Scandinavian design is democratic: it can be found all around us in everyday life. It is neither elitist nor bulk goods, but instead available to everyone.”
