NOKIA BLUETOOTH HEADSET BH-804

Design: Simon Bradford, Johan Frössén, Alejandro Sanguinetti 2008
(Product Design Series)

The smallest headset ever made by Nokia, yet making no compromises with regard to quality or the comfort and ease of use. The appearance of the headset has been given due consideration as it is worn like an accessory. Cool aluminium and slender shape lend the device the feel of jewellery.

Nokia, the world’s leading maker of mobile phones also produces a wide range of accessories for mobiles. The BH-804 is the smallest hands-free device ever made by Nokia, but there are yet no compromises regarding use or quality,  Particular attention was paid to the appearance and design of the device, which in a sense functions like a modern piece of jewellery or personal accessory complementary to the user’s dress and style. The headset is exceptionally slender and elegant, and is equally suited to men and women. The material is matte sand-blasted aluminium.

In terms of technology, the headset represents a completely new generation. Nokia aimed at designing a multifunctional device that is also easy to use. There are only two control buttons, both multifunctional and following Nokia’s familiar user logic. Sound quality is excellent. The ear plugs can be changed for ears of different size, providing a good fit for the user. Light weight and ease of use also ensure that the device is actually used in all kinds of occasions, for example when driving.
