This mid-priced design tap is an addition to the Oras range of products. The idiom of form called for know-how and skill at the factory. Ease of use, safety and reduced use of water and energy are features that are self-evidently included. The faucet industry is a sector of growing international competition. Founded in 1945 and still operating as a family-owned company, Oras is a market leader in the Nordic countries, while also aiming at global growth. Oras offers a wide range of different taps from basic models to top-level design. Oras has been a pioneer in its field from its earliest stages. A core element of the brand is user-friendliness, extending to safety and ease of use. Self-evident features of Oras taps are details that help conserve water and energy. Among its many distinctions, Oras is the world’s leading manufacturer of touch-free taps and the company has a long history of using the services of designers. Cubista was created as a mid-priced designer faucet. Customers had wanted a more rectangular style alongside rounder models to suit minimalist interiors and spaces. Visual influences for the tap came from cubist art, which also inspired the name of the product series. This series includes all necessary faucets from kitchen to bathroom use. Special products include a timer-operated kitchen tap, in which the valve for washing-machine water supply closes automatically within three or twelve hours of being opened. In other words, it can never be forgotten in the open position. The angular form and in particular the joints of the various parts also called for professionalism and skills in the manufacturing stage.
