Planmeca Sovereign is a new kind of dental unit: ergonomic and completely adaptable to the dentist’s specific working methods. Design has always been a core value in product development at Planmeca. Through long-term work, many of the details of the equipment are refined and functioning. A good example is the Planmeca Sovereign dental unit, which renews both the appearance and functions of traditional dental care units. All the moving parts of the unit are motorized. The parts are also symmetrical, allowing the conversion of the whole unit from right to left-handed use. Because the unit is easily adaptable according to need and treatment procedures, an ergonomic working position is always provided. The dentist's individual settings are recorded in the unit’s memory. The distinct graphical user interface is an aid for planning and carrying out dental care, and the same functions are also provided by the unit’s wireless foot control. The attachment of the patient chair to the pylon leaves free space for the dentist’s feet. The patient chair is designed for particular comfort even during long treatment sessions. Where necessary, special viscoelastic upholstery can be used, adapting completely to the patient’s body. The motorized head rest and the adaptable back rest make the chair comfortable for tall and short patients alike and help keep the patient’s head in the best position for the dentist’s work.
