Fennia Prize is a design competition for firms and companies. Its objective is to support the production of high-standard products and services and to promote the competitiveness and internationalization of industry.
The Fennia Prize design competition is an opportunity to stand out from competitors with the aid of innovative and responsible design that is also of economic significance. The individual Fennia Prizes are awarded to companies in recognition of the comprehensive and innovative use of design for creating and realizing products, services and business concepts, and in product development, manufacturing and corporate image matters.
The range of awarded design from earlier years covers power pylons. a library service concept, active loudspeakers and tableware, among other products. The prize-winning entries will have the right to use the Fennia Prize logo in their marketing as a proof of the high quality of design. The prize-winning entries will be presented internationally in a touring exhibition and a competition publication. The prize sum of €35,000 is donated by the Fennia Group.
A new feature of the Fennia Prize 2014 competition is a separate series for start-ups, open to firms and companies that have been in operation for no longer than five years (i.e. established in 2008 or later).
