The official organization of the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design comprises its annual meeting and board. The primary objective of the Society is to maintain the work and activities of Design Forum Finland. Members of the Society include companies and organizations of the design sector. The Society has its annual meetings every spring and autumn.

The board of directors of the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design consists of six leading decision-makers in the corporate and design sectors. Important objectives for the board are to promote the internationalization of Finnish design expertise, to encourage enterprises, particularly small and middle-sized firms, to apply design in product development, and to arouse the interest of the public in design.

Microsoft's Director of Packaging Design Ulla Uimonen is a designer who graduated from Lahti’s Design Institute and has specialized in sustainable packaging design throughout her career. She heads packaging design functions for Microsoft’s Phones unit, being responsible for design and R&D of Phones packaging portfolio.

Jaakko Autere (M.Sc.(Econ)) has experience in executive duties in international brand companies like Orkla, L’Oreal and Kellogg’s. He is also a Member of the Board in Olvi Oyj. He has been President of Fiskars Home business area and CEO of Iittala Group Oy Ab. Presently he works as a consultant for several Finnish and foreign companies.

Salla Heinänen (M.Pol.Sc.) is Secretary General of the Finnish Association of Designers Ornamo, representing Finnish designers and artists of industrial arts. She has long experience in national and international supervision of interests and public affairs. Among other positions, Salla Heinänen has sat in EU Commission advisory committees, in the European Economic and Social Committee and in the Trade Advisory Committee to the OECD.

Ia Adlercreutz (M.A.) is Head of Brand and Concept Development of Fiskars Kitchen. She has a great deal of professional experience in developing both consumer brands and new product concepts. Ia Adlercreutz has collaborated closely with Finnish and international designers and architects for many years.

Pekka Pokela (D.Sc.(Tech.)) is Business Director and strategic consultant at Gaia Consulting Oy, a company providing expert services for sustainable development. Pokela has professional experience of various tasks in the semiconductor and electronics industry, especially in product development and marketing, along with many years of experience in leading positions in industry organizations and broad development projects in business and technology. Pekka Pokela was a Visiting Associate in Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology. During this period, he prepared his doctoral thesis in a research project mainly funded by the Intel Corporation.

Jari Puhakka (M.Soc.Sc.) is Director of Investments at the Etera Mutual Pension Insurance Company and has broad long-term experience of investments. He has worked in various investment-related capacities at the Opstock, Gyllenberg, Ilmarinen and Pohjola Asset Management companies, among others.
