EcoDesign at Design Forum FinlandOn show at Design Forum Finland from 17 December 2009 until 10 January 2010 will be a selection of Finnish products from the EcoDesign exhibition curated by Professor Yrjö Kukkapuro and originally displayed at the Habitare Fair in September. This exhibition at Design Forum presents innovative ecological chairs by 45 Finnish designers. Curated by interior architect Professor Yrjö Kukkapuro, EcoDesign presents the approaches of leading designers to ecological furniture design. The invited designers were asked to design an ecological chair. The original exhibition, which was on show in the Ahead! department of the Habitare Fair in September 2009, displayed works by 97 designers. The exhibition at Design Forum Finland (7 December 2009 – 10 January 2010) is a compilation of domestic works, featuring 45 Finnish designers.The curator of the exhibition, Professor Yrjö Kukkapuro, also designed his own version of EcoDesign for the exhibition: "Ever since the oil crisis of 1973, I have closely considered ecological aspects in my work, whether in the choice of materials or the durability and maintenance of the products.
