The garden of Finnish fashion

Garden is the name of the new center of Finnish fashion which was just opened on the second floor of Kämp Galleria in the heart of Helsinki. The elegant and airy space offers boutiques, showrooms, a few cafés and restaurants, a book shop and room for various events such as product launches. Year by year, Finnish fashion and especially new talented designers have attracted growing attention, even internationally, and it was high time to get a great stage for them. The second floor of Kämp Galleria also entices with its architecture to spend more time with Finnish fashion.

#uusimuseo

Architecture and design are the two areas where Finland is greatly renowned. An ongoing project is now researching a concept which would combine the Design Museum and the Museum of Finnish Architecture. The project was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture, City of Helsinki and the two foundations which support the museums. A report was published in August, recommending the founding of a new joint museum; in October a working group was established and the first concepts for the new museum are to be published by the end of February.
