Award-winning design

Design Forum Finland's competitions and prizes underline the cultural and economic significance of design. Prizes are awarded to companies making use of design, both experienced and young and promising designers and organizations engaged in efforts on behalf of design in Finnish society.

fennia prize

The Fennia Prize, organized every second year, is one of the biggest design competitions in Finland. It is organized by the promotion organization of Finnish design, Design Forum Finland, the Fennia Group, Elo and the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.


The Kaj Franck Design Prize is intended for a designer or team of designers for creative industrial design of high quality and for achievements in applied art.

young designer of the year

The Young Designer of the Year prize is for young designers displaying exceptional, original and high-standard skills. It is intended to encourage young designers to engage in uncompromising and original work.


The Estlander Prize and medals are unique and rare distinctions in recognition of farsighted work on behalf of design.
