Kaj Franck Design Prize 2005:
Interior architect Hannele Bonsdorff

Interior architect Hannele Bonsdorff has designed for the Finnish furniture industry for several decades.

She worked for the Sotka company for nearly twenty years, followed by two decades of designing on a freelance basis for the Asko, Insofa, Lasma and Interface companies. Her mass-produced items of furniture for the home have been available mostly as anonymous products not bearing the name of the designer.

Hannele Bonsdorff works in a systematic and uncompromising manner. She knows how to apply her high-standard skills to the requirements of business, and she is responsible for both the form of the products and their technical and structural design. Colour, comfort and a touch of luxury are typical features of Hannele Bonsdorff’s works.
