DESIGN FORUM talks are aimed at Finnish SME's that seek competitiveness and growth. Through case presentations and discussions DESIGN FORUM talks will share information about the uses of design expertise on various business areas.

Design Forum Talk <3 Circular Economy Day focuses on circular economy, its business models and circular design. The event is arranged by Design Forum Finland. At the event, there will be expert talks about sustainable growth and circular business models as well as case examples from companies that are already using design as a strategic tool for circular businesses.

The experiences and benefits of EcoDesign Sprint programme will also be presented during the day. EcoDesign Sprint is an intensive 3-day training and acceleration programme targeted at SMEs and design agencies. For the SMEs, the Sprint is a concrete and rapid service/product development process furthering the company’s strategic goals. For the design agencies, the Sprint provides a great opportunity to learn and embed circular design principles into their own work. EcoDesign Sprint has been developed as part of the EcoDesign Circle project by Design Forum Finland. 

The event is part of Helsinki Design Week’s programme. The largest design festival in the Nordic countries is held from 6–16 September 2018.

DESIGN FORUM talk: Finnkampen presented Finnish and Swedish brand and design know-how. Swedish companies have succeeded in creating globally known and successful consumer brands. Finnish companies have raised international interest with products that are original and have a story to tell. What can we learn from each other? How can companies gain international advantage and competitiveness through stronger brand building and design? DESIGN FORUM talk: Multichannel and the new consumer 24.5.2016

How does the change in consumer behaviour affect the companies and what solutions will be offered with multichannelled operations? How can we design digital user experience for the success of a company?

This year's second DESIGN FORUM talk presented again interesting speeches and inspiring cases by Tarja Pentila and Katja von Alfthan from TNS Gallup, Tim Hall from Fjord, Susanna Kinnari from Terveystalo, and Otso Koski from Nokia Technologies. The discussion was hosted by digitalist Ville Tolvanen. The event was organized in cooperation with Fjord.
