PES-Architects was founded in 1968. Our architectural guideline is European and Scandinavian modernism. Our mission is to be innovative, reliable and co-operative design partner for demanding clients.

Besides architectural design our line of activities includes interior design, structural design, urban planning and project management. We operate in Europe, Russia and China.

Our projects are significant and complex public buildings such as theatres, airport and railway terminals, university buildings, schools and sport facilities as well commercial, office buildings and housing developments.

We have received following 1st Prizes in Chinese architectural competitions:
- Wuxi Grand Theater 2008
- Nanjing Electronic Research Center 2006
- Wuhan Economic Development Zone WEDZ, 2004
- We have also received five 2nd Prizes

Following buildings of our design has been constructed in China:
- Wuxi Grand Theater, under construction 2009
- Shanghai Vanke Deep Blue: villas and club building, 2006
- Wuhan Economic Development Zone WEDZ; DongFen Headquarter building 2006, Administrative building under construction 2009

Our main reference projects in Europe are Helsinki-Vantaa Airport new International Terminal T2 and St. Mary Concert Hall in Germany.

DESIGN FORUM FINLAND

Design Forum Finland is the promotion organization of Finnish design. It is run by the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design which, established in 1875, is the second-oldest design-industry organization in the world. The mission of Design Forum Finland is to support affluence and competitiveness in the economy and society by promoting widespread utilization of design.

Our activities include design exhibitions, publications, design prizes and competitions, and media and sales promotion services, among others. One of the core businesses is to promote design among small and medium-sized enterprises which is achieved by various projects both nationally and internationally.

Design Forum Finland’s main customer target groups are design intensive companies, designers and design agencies, international and domestic media and the general public – exhibition visitors, shop customers etc. Our contact groups form a national and international design network, with the members of the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design as its core.

Today, Design Forum Finland has a staff of around twenty design professionals. 40 % of our annual funding comes from the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The rest consists of project-specific support, grants and own earnings, investments and financial activities.

Design Forum Finland has its exhibition facilities in the heart of Design District Helsinki, at Erottajankatu 7. The office and Design Forum Shop are also situated in the premises.
