YOUNG DESIGNER OF THE YEAR PRIZE

The Young Designer of the Year Prize is an award established by Design Forum Finland in honour of the 125th anniversary of the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design.

The Young Designer of the Year prize is given to a young designer of exceptionally original and high-standard skills and ability in the fields of crafts, applied art, industrial design, graphic design or interior architecture. The purpose of the prize is to encourage young designers to carry on uncompromising and original work in design.

The prize can be given to one or several individuals or a team exhibiting new, creative concepts and skills in design. The prize sum is 5,000 EUR and it includes an exhibition held at Design Forum Finland. The prize has been awarded annually since 2000.
