Design Forum Finland’s Young Designer of the Year Prize of 2016 went to designer, Creative Director Laura Väinölä.
According to the prize jury Laura Väinölä is an outstanding example of a new-generation designer who works in a company as a design manager or creative director. The work calls for extensive and versatile expertise in the processes of both design and business – not forgetting creativity and an open mind. Managing a comprehensive and even expressive brand experience requires insight and courage. The prize jury considered Laura Väinölä an encouraging representative of a young designer in a role, which will be even more central in the future.
