SDG 17 Partnerships for the goals

According to the UN:

Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development. The SDGs can only be realized with strong cooperation of governments, the private sector and the society. The cooperation should be at the global, regional, national and local levels. To reach the SDGs also requires long-term investments. In 2016 the official development assistance reached on an all-time high, USD 142.6 per person. Though the aid level rises, the least developed countries receive a falling portion of it.

Targets in short:

The last goal of the SDGs is about cooperation, which is needed for reaching all the goals. There are several targets; they cover e.g. development assistance and the means to make global trade more equal, as well as technology and competences. In addition to these, the targets also cover political consistency, underlining that all the actors of the societies must cooperate for the goals.

In Design Forum Finland’s activities:

Design Forum Finland is a part of the wide network of the design field, which aids us in helping enterprises and spreading information. We also are a member of the World Design Organization that works for the promotion of the SDGs with the means of design. In our international projects we have created a close network with several national organizations promoting sustainable design. Our task is to share our knowledge and contacts of the field of sustainable development, too.
